Bertorelli is the restaurant in which Helen (Gwyneth Paltrow) either sups with James (John Hannah) or works to support Gerry (John Lynch) in the alternating realities of Peter Howitt’s Sliding Doors.
Trivia: in the Thirties, a crowd of unconventional artists of all sexualities gravitated to the liberal ambience of the Fitzroy Tavern, across the street from Bertorelli. Waiters from the restaurant, which had no alcohol licence, used to slip over to the Fitzroy to buy in drinks for the diners. Don't worry – Bertorelli now has a licence.
