4 Lansdowne Crescent, W11

Lansdowne CrescentIn the mid-Seventies, you could have bumped into Jack Nicholson in Notting Hill. A few years after his success with Blowup, Italian director Michelangelo Antonioni returned to west London to film scenes for his equally inscrutable 1975 film The Passenger (aka Professione: Reporter). TV reporter David Locke (Jack Nicholson) lurks by St John’s Church, Lansdowne Crescent, opposite his house at 4 Lansdowne Crescent, before deciding to follow the itinerary of the dead man with whom he’s swapped identities.

Trivia: Lansdowne Rise is the hill the baby carriage careers down as the Antichrist Damien Thorn (Sam Neill) attempts to rub out the opposition in The Final Conflict: Omen III.
