27 St Luke’s Mews, Notting Hill, W11

This classy little mews in Notting Hill is home to newlyweds Peter and Juliet (Chiwetel Ejiofor and Keira Knightley) in Love Actually. It’s where sadly lovestruck Mark (Andrew Lincoln) silently declares his love with cue cards.

The original script called for him to carpet the mews with rose petals – a gesture which would have had every female in the audience shoving a finger down her throat and gagging. Good change.

Itís a busy little mews. Sunny (Sienna Guillory) lives on the opposite site of the mews in Alex Jovy’s Sorted – and, yes, it’s true what the characters claim – this is the mews where TV presenter Paula Yates lived and died.

American tourist Wally Ritchie (Bill Murray) gets mugged in St Luke’s Mews, blithely assuming it’s all part of the ‘Theatre of Life’ experience in Jon Amiel’s 1997 comedy thriller The Man Who Knew Too Little
