Charlotte Mews, Tottenham Street, W1

At 21 Tottenham Street, on the south side, stands a block of luxury flats called Scala House, the only reminder that on this spot stood the Scala Theatre, where the Beatles perform their TV concert in A Hard Day’s Night. The theatre was demolished in 1969.

Across the road you can still see, unchanged, Charlotte Mews, the alleyway from which the Fab Four emerge just in time for the final concert.
