The Globe, 37 Bow Street, WC2

Frenzy, The Globe, Covent GardenThe Globe has been given quite a makeover since it featured as the pub where Richard Blaney (Jon Finch) works as barman before being sacked by landlord Felix Forsythe (Bernard Cribbins – far nastier than he was a Stationmaster Perks in The Railway Children) in Alfred Hitchcock's Frenzy. The pub once displayed photographs of Hitch directing the movie, which were inexplicably replaced by blandlygeneric photos of old London. It's currently closed.

And don't confuse it with the other Globe pub in Borough, south of the Thames, which was home to Bridget Jones in Bridget Jones’s Diary.

Frenzy (1972, dir: Alfred Hitchcock)
