How times change. Remember Sean Connery’s Bond dissing pop music in Goldfinger (“like listening to the Beatles without earplugs”)? In Die Another Day, Pierce Brosnan's Bond arrives in the capital to the accompaniment The Clash.

The entrance to the abandoned (and fictitious) ‘Vauxhall Cross Underground Station’ can be seen at the southern end of Westminster Bridge, alongside County Hall. The long-suffering security guys who work here are heartily sick of gullible fans wanting to see the fictitious station. Just don't bother. The station itself, though based on the much-used Aldwych Stration on the Strand, is a studio set.
