Although Reese Witherspoon has dropped out, the remake of Otto Preminger’s sardonic psycho-thriller Bunny Lake Is Missing is still on the cards.
The Sixties original makes good use of its London locations. You might think you've wandered into the anteroom of a Parisian bordello when you walk into the overblown crimson and gilt bar of the Warrington. And rumours persist that, indeed, you could once be entertained in its private rooms. Certainly, music hall star Marie Lloyd enjoyed quaffing Champers in its theatrical ambience.
