Chances are you won’t immediately recognise the office building at the corner of St James’s Walk and Sekforde Street in the heart of Clerkenwell, but 16-18 St James’s Walk was the hi-tech, antiseptic ‘island’ apartment of Will (Hugh Grant) in About a Boy. The striking entrance door was constructed especially for the film at the St James’s Walk side entrance to the building.
Nearby Woodbridge Chapel, Haywards Place, is where Will attends SPATs (Single Parents Alone Together) as a cheesy ploy to meet available single mothers.
